【林金聖╱台北報導】「因為欠下4-5百萬賭債，才會想搶銀行」民權東路6段彰化銀行東湖分行持槍搶匪李名翔〈45歲〉，自知法網難逃，清晨在徐姓女友的勸說下前往新莊福營派出所投案，隨即被帶回內湖分局進行偵辦，李嫌向警方供稱，是因為欠下巨額賭債，才會起意持槍搶劫銀行，至於做案槍枝是一位已故大哥「阿魁」寄放的，沒搶到錢，我就把槍枝丟到泰山泰林路旁的大水溝內了。
 
李嫌向警方供稱，搶案發生後隔天〈28日〉上午6時許偕不知情的徐姓女友搭計程車前往瑞芳親友家借錢卻借不到，只好將戴在手上價值10餘萬的手錶拿當了一萬多元，然後到九份找一家民宿入住，就在該地待了一天，昨天〈29日〉因為看見自由時報刊出的新聞，女友才得知我犯下這起搶案，當下女友說不要回租屋處了，一定有很多警察，於是就在大台北地區閒逛，直到晚上，我們在新莊福營派出所旁一家汽車旅館休息，女友勸我還是到派出所投案，所以在今天3時許到派出所投案。
