北捷屠殺案兇嫌鄭捷姨丈是一家傳產中小企業老闆，其父母在該公司上班，因此鄭捷捨棄熱愛的文科，抑鬱念理工，卻無法如願，撰寫奇幻小說成了現實生活唯一存在感。

今日出版的《蘋果》報導，鄭捷姨丈是一家傳產中小企業老闆，與化工、營造相關，雙親在該公司任要職，因公司屬性致鄭捷讀理工，雖熱愛文科卻無法如願。

該公司1名人員回憶，鄭捷國中、小時秀氣斯文，相當安靜，下課後總是一人趴在辦公桌上寫作業，作文也很棒，見人也會打招呼喊：「叔叔阿姨好！」（陳亮諭／綜合報導）
