天主教教宗方濟各在耶誕前向教廷部的樞機主教發表演說，尖銳批評教廷的官僚作風，抱怨教廷的「精神癡呆」和「八卦的恐怖主義」。

教廷部（Curia）為羅馬天主教會最高行政機構。方濟各說，教廷部罹患了15項「疾病」，希望能在新的一年治癒。

方濟各還對「死抱著自己形象」的一些人發出批評。
