避免薪資仲裁，金鶯隊同意與一壘手Steve Pearce簽下1年370萬美元的合約，金鶯隊還未跟「終結者」Zach Britton、右投Miguel Gonzalez以及外野手Alejandro de Aza談妥。

Steve Pearce去年打擊率2成93，全壘打21支及打點49分都是生涯最好的成績，他今年季後將成為自由球員。
