【更新】嘉義縣鵝隻累計死亡超過4萬隻

禽流感疫情爆發，嘉義今日累計死亡的鵝隻數字，已超過4萬隻，嘉義縣政府表示，嘉義縣環保局今派遣消毒小組(3名人員及消毒車1部)，配合家畜疾病防治所提供之消毒藥品，針對發現病原畜牧場周遭及運送感染鵝隻屍體之化製車輛運送沿途消毒工作，全力防止禽流感疫情擴散。

環保局表示，目前掌握之疫情，縣內4個鄉鎮、共計11處養鵝場，飼養約6萬隻鵝，疑似受感染隻數約為4萬82餘隻，今日開始的消毒工作，均以防疫單位視疫情進行消毒，未來如疫情持續擴大，不排除尋求軍方協助。(王智勇／嘉義報導)
