今天是農曆7月初1，也是民間信仰「開鬼門」的日子，嘉義縣朴子溪出海口凌晨發現一具女屍，令地方議論紛紛。

警方表示，死者是住在東石鄉的41歲徐姓婦人，昨天午夜她向家人表示要出外散心，沒想到今天凌晨0時30分左右，被人發現溺斃於東石鄉朴子溪出海口一處舊碼頭。

警方調查指出，死者是一名包裝漁貨的女工，至於是意外失足溺斃，還是有其他原因，將待檢方會同法醫相驗。

由於今天是農曆7月初1，東石鄉許多村落都有掛小燈篙避邪的習俗，卻發生婦人溺斃事件，令地方議論紛紛。

東石鄉每逢農曆7月，許多人會在家門口掛小燈篙求平安，因為地方流傳，掛小燈篙是為了幫地藏王菩薩照明，讓菩薩夜巡時可以看到是否有「好兄弟」做怪。

這種小燈篙是用斗笠製成，下方安裝小燈泡，再綁上竹子、芝麻葉，村民在入夜後要打開小燈泡，直到天亮再關掉，村民相信如此可保平安。(中央社)
