為參選明年區域立委，國民黨籍不分區立委紀國棟日前才還清400多萬的欠款，只是，還是無法通過黨內評鑑，國民黨將徵召該選區現任立委顏寬恒，繼續參選台中市第2選區立委。

國民黨28日召開「立法委員輔選策略委員會」第六次會議，會中決議，現任立委顏寬恒通過評鑑委員會評鑑，列為台中市第2選區建議徵召名單，全案將於29日提報中常會核議。

國民黨指出，「立法委員輔選策略委員會」28日通過評鑑委員會日前開會結論，對於台中市第2選區現任立委顏寬恒、紀國棟評鑑決議：現任立委顏寬恒通過評鑑；評鑑委員會同時建議輔選策略委員會，如有適當選區，協調不分區立委紀國棟參選。

評鑑委員會上述決議是根據「國民黨黨員參加第8屆不分區及僑選立法委員選舉被推薦或申請登記同志切結書」內載明，不分區立委應有接受黨規劃參選的義務。

其實，日前就傳出的紀國棟因常上節目批馬，且又積欠款項，被視為黑名單，可能無法獲得提名。但面對媒體詢問，紀國棟說，不曉得什麼叫黑名單。
