因貪污案被起訴、交保後仍停職的南投縣長李朝卿，今（10）日率眾北上，到內政部申請復職，李朝卿強調自己絕對是清白的，內政部不該未審先判；內政部常務次長林慈玲表示，內政部會蒐集相關資訊，並根據李朝卿的主張，在1、2週內做出妥適決定。

李朝卿下午在數百名支持者及縣議員、鄉鎮市長陪同下，前往內政部遞交復職申請書，同時附上1份5萬人的連署書，李朝卿說，法院仍在審理這起案件，內政部與監察院卻未審先判，違法引用「公務員懲戒法」將他停職，還通過對他的彈劾。

出面接下復職申請書的內政部常務次長林慈玲表示，李朝卿提出的訴求，主要是他認為既然公務員懲戒委員會暫不處理此案，就代表並非情節重大，內政部將會蒐集相關資訊，並根據李朝卿的主張與法制單位及相關單位充分研究，在1、2週內做出復職准駁的決定。
