中華民國駐聖露西亞大使章計平，當地時間3日上午在露國農業部與農業部長巴提斯特（Moses Jn Baptiste）共同主持香蕉葉斑病防治計畫援贈儀式。

章計平致詞說，中華民國自2012年協助露國防治香蕉葉斑病，先購買藥劑噴灑控制疫情蔓延，第2期派遣計畫經理協助建立監控系統，並提供技術講習與引入抗菌植株，已提升2013年露國香蕉外銷產量6%。

章計平表示，透過中華民國香蕉研究所專家舉辦講習會，建構露國農業部主管人員與相關農戶的能力，不僅有效監控葉斑病，更協助農戶分析農地土壤、堆肥使用及推廣抗病植株，增進露國農民福祉，深具意義。

巴提斯特則感謝中華民國政府與人民對露國的慷慨援助，使露國在維持糧食安全、爭取外匯及提供就業均能獲益，據統計露國已有100公頃蕉園復耕。

他說，今年6月訪台，親見台灣的先進農業技術，這項計畫在中華民國專家協助下，不論葉斑病防治及協助蕉農轉種其他作物或從事小型畜產養殖等，成效必定顯著。

露國農業部次長嘉布瑞爾（Darius Gabriel）及農業部官員也列席，露國國家電視網等媒體並派員現場採訪。(中央社)
