尼泊爾25日發生強震，位於大陸與尼泊爾邊界上的第一高峰聖母峰也受震盪，發生雪崩。目前在聖母峰尋獲18具遺體，其中1名罹難者丹（Dan Fredinburg）是在加州谷歌公司（Google）的主管。

《每日郵報》（Daily Mail）報導，印度軍方發言人表示，印度軍方登山團隊目前在聖母峰尋獲18具遺體，其中1名罹難者丹是Google的主管。根據將丹送至基地營的登山業者表示，他遭受雪崩擊中，頭部傷重不治。

尼泊爾觀光局官員估計，強震來襲時，基地營或聖母峰至少有1000名登山者，包括約400名外國人。

33歲的丹2007年起為Google工作，曾擔任產品經理與Google X實驗室的隱私部門總管，還是美國女星索菲亞（Sophia Bush）的前男友。他曾形容自己為「冒險者」，熱愛登山的他曾在Instagram分享許多熱血的登山照。
