3.5萬隻海象上岸棲息　若遇威脅易引發推擠踩踏

美國阿拉斯加州雷岬西北部海岸，上周六湧現3.5萬隻海象棲息海灘，數量創新高紀錄。海象在白令海過冬，母海象會在海冰上產下後代，必須在海冰上棲息獵食。

自2007年起，夏季溫度升高導致海冰縮減，海象無處棲息只好湧上海灘棲息，上岸時若遇獵人、北極熊或小飛機等威脅，常會引發擁擠踐踏，被踩死的多為小海象。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
