台船以1,800 TEU貨櫃輪 榮登世界名船錄

台船（2208）的造船實力獲得國際肯定，英國皇家造船工程師協會最新出版的2014年世界名船錄年度專刊，台船為大陸海豐國際（SITC）打造的1,800個TEU（20 呎標準櫃）貨櫃輪首度榮登封面。

台船公關課課長王進添表示，該船以獨樹一格的「劍艏」設計脫穎而出。台船創新的劍艏設計，在節能及水動力性能上經過繁複的耐海性測試，證明水波較易「流過」船殼而非「破裂」於船體表面，在5級海況下，節能效果可較傳統型降低9至10個百分比；而且可有效減低縱搖，減少甲板上浪，有利保護甲板貨物，確保航行平穩順利。

自1998年以來，這已經是台船第22艘船型獲選，更是首度榮登封面。
