遠東科大光電系師生改良太陽能發電設施，在頂樓架設可透光的太陽能管棚架，棚架下可種百香果、舖草皮，有效利用空間。

太陽能管下的枝蔓掛滿結實纍纍的黃金百香果，棚架下是一片綠油油的草地，不但有綠化效果，還能充當百香果果實的緩衝墊；熟成掉下時碰上柔軟的草皮，不但不受傷，還能保有香甜風味。

遠東科技大學光電工程系主任陳聖鐘指出，當初考量要在頂樓有限的面積上，讓太陽能發電與植栽兼得；又要顧慮頂樓的風大，因此將太陽能板裁成細條嵌裝在管子內，在棚架上方安裝太陽能管發電設施，發現約有70%的陽光可穿透縫隙，棚架下方可以再栽種植物。

陳聖鐘表示，學生們集思廣益，提議種黃金百香果，在棚架上彼此分享陽光，棚架下面則種植草皮。光電系師生們可以在草皮上喝下午茶、練推桿；頭上有百香果藤蔓遮陰，棚架上方還有太陽能管可供手機或平板充電。

陳聖鐘指出，園藝和科技可以相互交融，這項成果證明當初選用太陽能管模組與黃金百香果成為最佳拍檔，是正確的組合。(中央社)
