三起銀行搶劫案 萊斯頓安全引發討論

【大紀元2014年12月21日訊】（大紀元記者蕭桐美國華盛頓DC編譯報導）十二月在萊斯頓（Reston）發生的3起銀行搶劫案，讓當地的居民開始緊張。根據費爾法克斯郡（Fairfax County）的警方記錄，萊斯頓的犯罪率實際上是相當低的，在費郡八市中排名第二低。

作為金錢雜誌（Money Magazine）2014年十大最適合居住地之一，雷斯頓市不但有較低的犯罪率，同時還有良好的校區和較高的就業率。

在萊斯頓城鎮中心（Reston Town Center）一家銀行工作的蘇女士認為，雖然上星期的銀行搶劫案在同事間製造了一些話題，但總體來說萊斯頓的治安環境還是很讓人放心的。

2013年，萊斯頓的犯罪案件共有654件，比2012年的765件有所下降。2012和2013年，萊斯頓分別有兩起凶殺案，但都是家庭性質的，不是隨機的犯罪。

2013年費郡各區中，犯罪率最低的區是蘇利區（Sully District）。
