美國供應管理協會(ISM)周一說，美國5月製造業出現緊縮，為自去年秋季以來，首度緊縮。

ISM 5月製造業指數下降至49.0%，為自去年11月以來首度緊縮，並創下自2009年6月以來，最低數據，4月為50.7%。

接受MarketWatch調查的分析師平均預估，5月製造業指數為上升至51.0%。

該指數低於50，代表緊縮的製造業家數多過擴張家數。

ISM 5月新訂單指數下降至48.6%，4月為53.5%。

5月就業指數下降至50.1%，4月為50.2%。
